In addition, artists score points when other players correctly guess the actual prompt. Players can receive points for either picking the actual prompt or fooling other players into picking their own guess. Then, each player's answer for what they think the drawing was supposed to depict shows up onscreen, along with the actual prompt that the artist was given. Each drawing pops up on the screen in turn, and players type in what they think the drawing is supposed to be. The way the game works is that players receive prompts that they must draw. One of my guests last night remarked that the game was pretty much a combination of Pictionary and Balderdash. The only downside to this is that you can't mercilessly make fun of those players in person when you beat them, you have to either stream the insults to the Internet or simply just harass them on Twitter. There's even a setting that extends timers to account for the few seconds of lag that occurs while broadcasting.

It’s important to remember that no matter how bizarre a potential answer might seem, it could very well be the correct one.The company, the minds behind the brilliant You Don't Know Jack series of trivia games of the 90's and early 00's, has seen a massive resurgence in recent years after rebranding themselves as the go-to indie studio for fun, wacky, and madcap party games. Things like “evil twin” and “stinky bra” are some of the more doable drawings that may pop up but also thrown in are some real curve balls such as “sorry, wrong number”. Not only are some of them just plain funny, but they often make it tougher on players to pick out the correct answer amongst the lies. What makes Drawful 2 so unpredictable is the sheer silliness and randomness of the prompts you are assigned to scribble down. This then continues until everyone’s drawings have had their turn. Points are then awarded to those that manage to decipher the real from the fake while further points are also handed out if any incorrect players get fooled into choosing your bogus answer. All suggestions collected, players must then guess the actual correct answer as they appear on screen with the real answer.

Each drawing is then thrown up on the TV or Switch screen one by one with the players who aren’t responsible for the mess then writing their own convincing interpretations of what it might be.
I say attempt since all you have at your disposal are the most basic of drawing tools – a duo of colours and just your finger. Things kick off with each player being secretly sent an object or phrase to their phone that they must then attempt to draw. So how do you play Drawful 2?
